Tax Director
Position Overview: The Tax Director is responsible for developing and executing global tax strategies, ensuring compliance with applicable tax laws, and optimizing the organization’s overall tax position. This role provides leadership across U.S. and international tax functions, supports business initiatives, and manages complex tax planning, compliance, and integration activities.
Key Responsibilities:
Tax Strategy & Leadership

Develop and implement global tax policies, planning strategies, and structural initiatives

Lead and manage a tax team responsible for tax compliance, reporting, and planning activities

Advise senior leadership on tax risks, opportunities, and legislative developments

Design, execute, and document tax planning initiatives across U.S. and international jurisdictions
U.S. Tax

Oversee federal, state, and local tax compliance, filings, and payments

Analyze impacts of new tax legislation and identify planning opportunities and risks

Support IRS and state/local tax audits as needed

Oversee transfer pricing documentation and compliance
International Tax

Manage international tax planning, compliance, and reporting, including VAT and local statutory filings

Support foreign tax audits and monitor local country tax law changes

Lead tax-efficient intercompany financing, cash movements, and repatriation strategies

Coordinate with regional finance and controllership teams
Business Support & Transactions

Advise on mergers, acquisitions, divestitures, reorganizations, and joint ventures

Lead tax due diligence and post-merger integration activities

Review and propose changes to corporate and legal entity structures

Conduct quantitative tax and financial analysis to support business decisions

Partner with treasury, legal, and controllership to ensure compliance with internal protocols
Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required; CPA strongly preferred

JD or Master of Taxation a plus

Minimum 10 years of progressive tax experience, including significant international tax exposure

Deep knowledge of U.S. and foreign tax regulations and transfer pricing

Experience managing tax aspects of acquisitions and divestitures

Strong project management, analytical, and problem-solving skills

Ability to operate effectively in a complex, multinational environment

Excellent communication skills with the ability to influence across levels and functions

Familiarity with tax reporting platforms (e.g., OneSource) preferred
-
Willingness to travel internationally on occasion
