Talent Acquisition Specialist

Position Summary: The Talent Acquisition Specialist is responsible for attracting, sourcing, and hiring qualified candidates to support organizational growth and workforce needs. This role partners closely with hiring managers to deliver an efficient recruitment process, build strong talent pipelines, and ensure a positive candidate experience while maintaining compliance with applicable hiring practices.
 
Key Responsibilities
  • Source and engage qualified candidates through job boards, social media, professional networks, referrals, and recruiting events.
  • Develop and maintain talent pipelines to support current and future hiring needs.
  • Attend job fairs, networking events, and community outreach activities to promote employer branding and attract candidates.
  • Review applications and resumes to identify qualified candidates.
  • Conduct candidate screenings and interviews to assess qualifications and fit.
  • Coordinate interviews and maintain communication throughout the recruitment process.
  • Partner with hiring managers to understand staffing needs, position requirements, and selection criteria.
  • Provide guidance on recruitment strategies, candidate selection, and hiring market trends.
  • Extend employment offers and support a smooth transition from offer acceptance to start date.
  • Maintain accurate candidate, requisition, and hiring records within applicant tracking systems.
  • Ensure compliance with employment laws, regulations, and company hiring practices.
  • Track recruiting activity and hiring metrics to support informed decision-making.
  • Stay current on industry trends, sourcing techniques, and recruitment technologies.
 
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field preferred.
  • Two or more years of experience in talent acquisition, recruiting, sourcing, or a related field.
  • Experience sourcing candidates through LinkedIn, Boolean search techniques, job boards, and other recruitment channels.
  • Experience using applicant tracking systems (ATS) and recruitment technology platforms; experience with Workday or similar systems is a plus.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and Google Workspace applications.
  • Strong communication, interviewing, networking, and relationship-building skills.
  • Ability to influence and collaborate effectively with candidates, hiring managers, and external partners.
  • Strong negotiation and candidate-closing skills.
  • Ability to analyze recruiting data and recommend effective hiring strategies.
  • Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
  • Professional, proactive, and resourceful with a strong commitment to delivering an exceptional candidate and hiring manager experience.
