Staff Accountant
Position Overview: The Staff Accountant is responsible for supporting day-to-day accounting operations and ensuring the accuracy and timeliness of financial information across multiple entities. This role assists with financial reporting, account reconciliations, accounts payable and receivable activities, fixed asset accounting, and month-end close processes. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, analytical, and eager to contribute to a dynamic accounting team.
Key Responsibilities

Provide accounting support across multiple entities, contributing to accurate financial reporting and financial statement preparation

Process accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions, vendor payments, and related documentation

Prepare journal entries and perform account reconciliations for balance sheet and income statement accounts

Reconcile bank accounts, debt agreements, and revenue and expense accounts

Support fixed asset accounting, including asset tracking and construction-in-progress activities

Assist with month-end close procedures and audit preparation

Prepare financial, accounting, and administrative reports as needed

Maintain data accuracy across ERP systems and accounting platforms

Investigate and resolve accounting discrepancies and variances

Support internal and external reporting requirements and special projects as assigned
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field preferred; equivalent professional experience considered
- CPA designation or CPA-track is a plus

Solid understanding of accounting principles and practical application of GAAP

Experience with general ledger accounting, reconciliations, accounts payable, and accounts receivable processes

Proficiency with financial reporting software and ERP systems

Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills

Excellent verbal and written communication abilities

Ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and meet deadlines
