Staff Accountant / Bookkeeping (8196)

Job Summary: The Staff Accountant is responsible for maintaining accurate financial records through recording transactions, reconciling accounts, and preparing journal entries. This role supports various aspects of financial management, including accounts payable and receivable, and contributes to month-end and year-end closing activities. The Staff Accountant will assist in the preparation of financial reports, collaborate with cross-functional teams, and ensure compliance with accounting standards and company policies.

Job Responsibilities: 
  • Implementing and maintaining processes for all registration, business, and other licensing
  • Processing all expense reports accurately and efficiently
  • Reconciling and posting company credit card transactions
  • Performing month-end financial close activities
  • Preparing monthly bank reconciliations
  • Posting daily cash receipts
  • Preparing sales and use tax returns for multiple states
  • Entering monthly accruals and maintaining audit reports
  • Posting payroll to the general ledger and jobs, as applicable
  • Performing monthly, quarterly, and annual accounting entries, reconciliations, and reporting
  • Maintaining fixed asset ledgers and reporting for additions, disposals, depreciation expense, and gains/losses
  • Coding overhead invoices and processing weekly check disbursements
Education & Experience: 
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
  • 2+ years of accounting experience
  • Knowledge of accounting principles, regulations, and standards
  • Proficiency in QuickBooks and MS Office applications, especially Excel
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy in financial data entry and reporting
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
