Contract Payroll Specialist
Position Overview: The Payroll Specialist provides part-time support for payroll operations, ensuring employees are paid accurately and on time across weekly, bi-weekly, and monthly payroll cycles. This role assists with payroll processing, timecard corrections, payroll tax compliance, and related projects while maintaining a high level of accuracy and confidentiality. This is an excellent opportunity for a detail-oriented payroll professional seeking a flexible schedule of approximately 20–30 hours per week.
Key Responsibilities

Assist with processing weekly, bi-weekly, and monthly payrolls

Review and correct timecard discrepancies and payroll data issues

Research and resolve payroll tax filing and compliance matters

Support state reporting requirements and payroll-related audits

Perform payroll data maintenance, corrections, and system updates

Assist with benefits-related payroll projects and reporting as needed

Maintain accurate payroll records and ensure compliance with company policies and regulations

Collaborate with HR, Accounting, and management to resolve payroll-related inquiries
Qualifications

Experience processing payroll using ADP Workforce Now or similar payroll systems

Accounting or payroll administration background required

Knowledge of payroll tax regulations and compliance requirements

Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Outlook, and timekeeping systems

Strong attention to detail, accuracy, and organizational skills
