Payroll & Benefits Specialist
Job Description: The Payroll and Benefits Specialist is responsible for processing accurate and timely payroll, administering employee benefit programs, and ensuring compliance with applicable regulations. This role maintains payroll and benefits records, responds to employee inquiries, and collaborates across departments to support a positive employee experience and operational efficiency. The ideal candidate has meticulous attention to detail and strong knowledge of payroll laws and benefit plan administration.
Key Responsibilities:

Process multi-state payroll, including calculations for wages, bonuses, deductions, and taxes.

Administer benefit programs, including enrollments, changes, terminations, and COBRA.

Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local payroll and benefits regulations.

Maintain accurate employee records and support audit and reporting requirements.

Generate payroll and benefits reports for internal use and regulatory compliance.

Coordinate open enrollment and assist with benefit plan reviews and employee education.

Serve as the primary contact for employee payroll and benefits questions.

Collaborate with HR, Accounting, and third-party vendors to resolve discrepancies and improve processes.

Perform other related duties as assigned.
Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in HR, Accounting, Business Administration, or related field.

2–5 years of payroll processing and benefits administration experience, including multi-state payroll.

Fundamental Payroll Certification (FPC) a plus.

Experience with ADP Workforce Now preferred.

Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
-
Must be authorized to work in the United States.
