Manager, Financial Reporting (Hybrid)

Position Summary: We are seeking an experienced Financial Reporting Manager to oversee external financial reporting, SEC filings, technical accounting, and financial reporting compliance. This role is responsible for ensuring accurate and timely reporting in accordance with U.S. GAAP and SEC requirements, maintaining strong internal controls, supporting audits, and leading a small financial reporting team. The ideal candidate is a collaborative accounting professional with strong technical expertise and leadership skills.
 
Key Responsibilities
External Financial Reporting
  • Prepare and review quarterly and annual financial statements and related disclosures.
  • Coordinate the preparation and filing of SEC reports, including Forms 10-K, 10-Q, 8-K, and other required filings.
  • Manage XBRL tagging and electronic filing requirements.
  • Prepare required government financial reports.
Technical Accounting
  • Research and interpret U.S. GAAP and SEC reporting requirements.
  • Prepare financial disclosures related to acquisitions, divestitures, and other complex transactions.
  • Support capital market transactions and related financial reporting.
Compliance & Internal Controls
  • Ensure compliance with SEC regulations, U.S. GAAP, and SOX requirements.
  • Maintain and improve internal controls over financial reporting.
  • Coordinate external and internal audit activities.
  • Support audit committee and board reporting as needed.
Financial Reporting Operations
  • Maintain and support financial reporting systems.
  • Prepare monthly and quarterly management reporting packages.
  • Oversee financial reporting for employee benefit plans and other required filings.
Leadership
  • Review the work of accounting staff for accuracy and completeness.
  • Coach, mentor, and develop team members.
  • Foster collaboration across finance and other business functions.
Projects
  • Participate in finance transformation initiatives, system implementations, acquisitions, and other special projects.
 
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting required; Master's degree preferred.
  • CPA certification preferred.
  • 5+ years of experience in public accounting, corporate financial reporting, or a combination of both.
  • Experience preparing SEC filings and financial statements.
  • Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP, SEC reporting, and SOX compliance.
  • Experience with financial reporting and consolidation software is preferred.
  • Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Demonstrated leadership experience with the ability to develop and mentor team members.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet reporting deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
