Human Resource Manager

Job Overview: We are seeking an experienced and strategic Human Resource Manager to lead a small, high-impact team in delivering people-focused HR operations. The ideal candidate is proactive, service-oriented, and confident in making thoughtful, data-informed decisions. This hybrid role requires in-office presence two days per week.
 
Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead all aspects of HR operations, including employee relations, compliance, benefits, and policy development across a multi-state organization
  • Oversee the full employee lifecycle: onboarding, performance management, and offboarding
  • Drive HR strategy by setting team KPIs, improving cross-functional processes, and implementing forward-thinking initiatives
  • Serve as a trusted advisor to staff at all levels, offering empathetic, expert support on HR matters
  • Manage benefits administration, including open enrollment, leave programs, and retirement plans
  • Support employee immigration processes in coordination with legal counsel
  • Promote a values-driven, compliant, and inclusive workplace culture
  • Conduct regular HR audits to mitigate risk and ensure compliance with federal and state laws
  • Address employee relations matters with professionalism and discretion
  • Oversee HRIS systems, reporting, and data-driven process improvements
  • Maintain up-to-date, legally compliant handbooks and internal HR policies
 
Required Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field
  • 5+ years of progressive HR experience across core functions
  • Strong knowledge of employment laws and HR compliance
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational and multitasking skills
  • Proficient in HR technologies and systems
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience leading or mentoring HR team members
  • Knowledge of immigration and work authorization processes (e.g., H1B, E3, TN visas)
  • HR certification (e.g., SHRM-CP, PHR)
  • Multi-state HR experience
