HR Specialist
Position Overview: The HR Specialist will be a trusted partner to the Human Resources team and is responsible for supporting regional, multi-state HR administration, including onboarding, employee status changes, integrations, background checks, and offboarding. This role also partners with HR leadership to ensure compliance with employment regulations, maintain accurate employee data, and support a positive employee experience. This is an excellent opportunity for an HR professional looking to develop into broader HR functional areas.
Key Responsibilities

Process HR transactions accurately and timely, supporting the overall employee experience

Collaborate with managers and internal stakeholders to ensure complete and accurate employee data within the HRIS

Maintain employee records and ensure compliance with federal, state, and company requirements

Process employee status changes, employment verifications, and unemployment claims

Support recruiting and onboarding activities, including background checks, I-9s, E-Verify, and new hire setup within the HRIS

Monitor onboarding progress and communicate updates to new hires and hiring managers

Maintain the accuracy and integrity of employee data through regular audits and data reconciliation

Assist with HR system updates, reporting, and ongoing maintenance

Support organizational integrations by reviewing and importing employee data while coordinating onboarding communications

Partner with cross-functional teams to complete HR initiatives and improve processes

Assist with documenting and updating standard operating procedures

Respond to HR-related questions from employees and internal stakeholders

Maintain strict confidentiality of employee information and proactively resolve data discrepancies

Assist with special projects and additional administrative duties as assigned
Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Human Resources Management or a related field

2+ years of Human Resources or administrative experience

Strong customer service orientation

Experience maintaining compliance while meeting deadlines

Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Comfortable working in a fast-paced, dynamic environment

Strong attention to detail and highly organized

Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and time management skills

Experience with an HRIS platform; Paycor experience is a plus

Ability to analyze and communicate information effectively across all levels of the organization
