Financial Analyst
Position Overview: The Financial Analyst provides financial analysis and project management support for operational and capital initiatives. This role partners with cross-functional teams to support planning, execution, and monitoring of projects while ensuring financial accuracy, accountability, and compliance. The ideal candidate brings strong analytical skills, project-focused financial experience, and the ability to support decision-making in a dynamic operations environment.
Key Responsibilities
Financial & Operational Analytics

Conduct variance and trend analysis to support management decision-making

Prepare and analyze financial reporting in accordance with GAAP

Assist with month-end close activities as needed
Project Management & Capital Support

Support the planning and financial evaluation of capital and operational projects

Monitor project budgets, expenditures, and forecasts against approved plans, identifying and explaining variances

Review and assess expenditure requests, including ROI and payback analysis, to ensure projects align with financial and strategic objectives
Budgeting, Forecasting & Planning

Assist in the preparation of annual budgets and rolling forecasts for operations and projects

Support weekly and monthly forecasting processes in partnership with finance leadership
Collaboration

Work closely with operational leaders, engineers, and project teams to align financial insights with operational strategies

Perform ad hoc financial analysis and project-related tasks as required
Qualifications
Education & Experience

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field required

Master’s degree (MBA or related discipline) preferred

Professional certification (CPA, CMA, CFA, or equivalent) highly desirable

Minimum of 5 years of experience in accounting, finance, or financial analysis roles

Valid driver’s license
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

Advanced understanding and application of GAAP

Strong computer proficiency, including Microsoft Office Suite and financial planning/ERP systems

Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Strong organizational and time management abilities
