Director of Human Resources

Position Summary: The Director of Human Resources is responsible for leading HR operations and employee lifecycle management across a growing, multi-site healthcare organization. This role serves as a strategic partner to leadership and a primary resource for employee relations, onboarding, retention, succession planning, HR administration, and workforce development. The Director of HR will lead and develop a growing HR team while supporting managers and employees across multiple locations.
 

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead HR operations and support employees throughout the full employee lifecycle, from onboarding through offboarding.
  • Serve as the primary HR resource for employee relations, performance management, retention initiatives, and succession planning.
  • Partner with site leaders and managers to ensure consistent HR practices across multiple locations.
  • Oversee onboarding processes and support a team of HR professionals and onboarding specialists.
  • Administer and review payroll and benefits processes in partnership with dedicated payroll and benefits teams.
  • Ensure compliance with employment laws, company policies, and HR best practices.
  • Develop and implement programs that support employee engagement, growth, and organizational culture.
  • Provide coaching and guidance to managers on employee relations, performance concerns, and workforce planning.
  • Support organizational growth initiatives, including integration of new locations and expansion efforts.
  • Track HR metrics and recommend process improvements to enhance operational effectiveness.
 

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field preferred.
  • 7+ years of progressive HR experience, including leadership responsibilities.
  • Prior experience supporting physician practices, clinics, hospitals, or other healthcare provider environments is required.
  • Experience supporting multi-site or multi-state operations preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of employee relations, onboarding, retention, performance management, and succession planning.
  • Experience with HRIS, payroll, and benefits administration; ADP experience is a plus.
  • Proven ability to lead and develop HR teams in a fast-paced, high-growth environment.
  • Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to build relationships with employees, managers, and executive leadership.
  • Self-motivated, adaptable, and capable of managing multiple priorities effectively.
