Director of Finance
Position Overview: Our client is seeking a Director of Finance to serve as a strategic business partner to executive leadership while leading the organization's finance and accounting function. This role extends beyond traditional financial reporting, providing leadership in financial planning, treasury management, business analytics, ERP optimization, and operational decision support. The ideal candidate is a hands-on leader who can build scalable financial processes, develop a high-performing team, and provide the financial insight necessary to support continued growth, operational excellence, and strategic initiatives.
Key Responsibilities

Partner with executive leadership to develop and execute financial strategies that support long-term growth and profitability

Lead the accounting function, including general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, fixed assets, inventory accounting, and financial reporting

Oversee monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes, ensuring accurate and timely GAAP-compliant financial statements

Develop annual budgets, rolling forecasts, long-range financial plans, and executive dashboards with meaningful KPIs

Provide financial modeling, profitability analysis, and business insights to support strategic decision-making, pricing, capital investments, and operational initiatives

Manage treasury operations, banking relationships, cash flow forecasting, lending facilities, and working capital optimization

Coordinate annual audits, tax planning, regulatory filings, and ensure compliance with internal controls and financial policies

Lead ERP optimization, financial systems enhancements, reporting automation, and process improvement initiatives

Partner cross-functionally with operations, engineering, sales, purchasing, and other business leaders to improve financial performance and operational efficiency

Build, mentor, and develop a high-performing finance team while establishing scalable processes, accountability, and continuous improvement
Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance required; CPA preferred

8+ years of progressive finance and accounting leadership experience

Manufacturing or inventory-based industry experience strongly preferred

Strong knowledge of GAAP, financial reporting, cost accounting, budgeting, forecasting, and internal controls

Experience managing treasury functions, banking relationships, cash flow, and capital planning

Experience leading ERP implementations or optimization initiatives (NetSuite or similar ERP preferred)

Demonstrated success improving financial processes and developing high-performing teams

Acquisition or post-acquisition integration experience preferred

Strong analytical, leadership, communication, and strategic decision-making skills with the ability to influence business outcomes
