Customer Service Specialist

Position Overview: Our client is hiring a Customer Service Specialist to serve as the primary point of contact for customers, ensuring a positive and professional experience across all interactions. This role manages inquiries, processes orders, and coordinates with internal teams to resolve issues efficiently. The ideal candidate is personable, detail-oriented, and thrives in a fast-paced, customer-focused environment.
 
Key Responsibilities
  • Respond quickly, professionally, and accurately to customer inquiries regarding quotes, orders, status requests, complaints, and returns
  • Manage a high volume of inbound and outbound calls, emails, and requests
  • Create and update customer sales orders in ERP systems and maintain data in CRM
  • Provide product, pricing, shipping, and availability information to customers
  • Maintain detailed records of customer interactions, issues, and resolutions
  • Coordinate shipments and work with internal teams and external carriers to ensure timely delivery
  • Build strong customer relationships through professional, friendly, and empathetic communication
  • Partner with sales and cross-functional teams to resolve issues and improve customer experience
  • Identify root causes of issues and recommend process improvements
  • Perform administrative tasks such as maintaining files and processing documentation
 
Qualifications
Required Qualifications
  • High school diploma or GED required
  • 4+ years of customer service experience
  • Ability to proactively analyze problems, identify root causes, and resolve issues in a timely manner
  • Ability to multitask, prioritize, and manage workload efficiently
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills with a professional and empathetic approach
  • Ability to display patience and make customers feel valued
  • Highly organized with the ability to anticipate and meet customer needs
  • Ability to comprehend complex information and apply it to daily tasks
  • Ability to work independently and within a team
  • Experience in a corporate environment
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office
Preferred Qualifications
  • College degree
  • Proven experience in a call center environment
  • Sales experience
  • 5+ years of customer service experience preferred
