Hands on, yet strategic accounting & finance leader

This position is crucial for maintaining the financial health and strategic growth of the company, 100% onsite to begin.  Possibility of 1 day or so remote once fully trained.  NetSuite a strong plus.  Understanding of cost accounting.  Willingness to be hands on/ in the daily detail as needed. 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Financial Reporting and Analysis
  • Process Improvement
  • System Implementation: Oversee the completion and optimization of NetSuite.
  • Operational Metrics and Benchmarks: Develop and track metrics that support departmental and organizational goals.
  • Regulatory Compliance: Ensure adherence to GAAP, tax regulations, and other financial compliance requirements. Maintain internal controls and safeguard assets.
  • Financial Management: Oversee accounts, ledgers, and reporting systems. Manage the month-end and year-end close processes.
  • Budgeting and Forecasting: Collaborate with department leaders to refine budgeting processes and conduct variance analysis.
  • Inventory Management: Supervise the cycle inventory count process, ensuring accuracy in data and costing.

Skills and Qualifications:

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or a related field.
  • Experience: Minimum of 6 years in accounting with a proven track record in leadership roles. Experience in manufacturing and cost accounting is advantageous.
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in NetSuite is highly desirable. 
  • Certifications: Professional certifications such as CMA or CPA are a plus.
  • Compliance Knowledge: In-depth understanding of finance laws, accounting standards (GAAP), and tax regulations.
  • Leadership and Communication: Ability to lead a team, communicate effectively with stakeholders, and present financial information clearly.
