Controller
Position Overview: Our client is seeking a Controller to lead the accounting function within a fast-growing, investment-focused organization, serving as a key partner to executive leadership. This role goes beyond traditional accounting by combining financial oversight with strategic insight, operational collaboration, and performance-driven analysis. This is a hands-on leadership position for someone who is detail-oriented but forward-looking, analytical but curious, and energized by building structure and driving results.
Key Responsibilities

Own and oversee the full accounting function, ensuring accuracy, integrity, and scalability of financial reporting

Lead and continuously improve the month-end close process, focusing on speed, accuracy, and reporting discipline

Partner with leadership on budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning to support business decisions

Collaborate cross-functionally with operations and finance teams to align financial results with business performance

Analyze financial results, identify trends, and uncover opportunities for cost savings and margin improvement

Develop and enhance financial reporting, including KPIs and performance metrics

Build and strengthen accounting processes, internal controls, and financial infrastructure to support growth

Identify gaps, implement structure, and drive continuous process improvement

Support oversight of payroll, benefits, and administrative functions in coordination with external partners

Leverage technology and automation to improve efficiency and insights

Lead, develop, and grow the accounting team, establishing accountability and consistency across the function
Qualifications
-
5–7+ years of accounting experience, with demonstrated leadership responsibility

Experience in fast-paced environments preferred

Strong financial analysis, forecasting, and reporting skills

Proven ability to improve close processes and drive operational discipline

Highly collaborative with the ability to partner across teams and influence leadership
