Category Manager
Job Description: The Category Manager is responsible for the strategic and operational management of assigned product categories to maximize sales, profitability, and customer satisfaction. This role involves analyzing financial and operational performance, overseeing inventory and labor costs, and driving category-specific promotions. The Category Manager collaborates cross-functionally to ensure effective execution, accurate pricing, and alignment with organizational goals.
Key Responsibilities:

Analyze sales, labor, and inventory data to optimize category performance.

Develop and execute marketing promotions to drive traffic and sales.

Manage vendor relationships and ensure delivery on agreed terms.

Communicate category goals, standards, and updates to operations and accounting teams.

Oversee pricing accuracy, product mix, and compliance with safety and sanitation standards.

Train store teams on product handling, program execution, and promotional initiatives.

Support store openings and remodels to ensure category consistency and effectiveness.
Qualifications:

High school diploma required; Bachelor's degree in Marketing or related business field preferred.

3+ years of retail or convenience store experience.

Strong communication, analytical, and organizational skills.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office and category management tools.

Ability to travel as needed and work flexible hours.
