Benefits Manager / Specialist

Position Overview: Our client is seeking a Benefits Manager/Specialist to oversee the administration and continuous improvement of employee benefits programs while supporting a growing, multi-state organization. This role will partner with leadership to ensure employees receive an exceptional benefits experience, maintain compliance with applicable regulations, and drive process improvements. The ideal candidate is hands-on, detail-oriented, and thrives in a fast-paced, growth-focused environment.
 
Key Responsibilities
  • Administer employee benefits programs, including medical, dental, vision, life, disability, and retirement plans
  • Manage new hire enrollments, life events, open enrollment, and employee benefit changes
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for employee benefit inquiries and provide exceptional customer service
  • Partner with benefit brokers, insurance carriers, and third-party vendors to resolve issues and improve service delivery
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and company policies related to employee benefits
  • Maintain accurate benefits records, HRIS data, and reporting
  • Reconcile benefit invoices and assist with payroll-related benefit deductions
  • Support benefits integration activities during acquisitions and organizational growth initiatives
  • Identify opportunities to improve benefits processes, reporting, and employee communication
  • Assist with HR projects and other employee experience initiatives as needed
 
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business, or a related field preferred
  • 3+ years of benefits administration or HR experience with a strong focus on employee benefits
  • Experience supporting multi-state or multi-location organizations preferred
  • Knowledge of employee benefit regulations and HR compliance requirements
  • Experience with HRIS systems and Microsoft Excel
  • Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent communication and relationship-building abilities
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, growing organization while maintaining a high level of confidentiality
