Accounting Manager
Position Summary: The Accounting Manager will oversee core accounting operations and support a growing, multi-channel business environment. This role is responsible for leading accounts receivable, accounts payable, payroll, and cash management functions while ensuring accuracy, timeliness, compliance, and strong internal controls. The ideal candidate is a hands-on accounting professional with a growth mindset, strong leadership ability, and a collaborative approach to supporting cross-functional teams.
Key Responsibilities

Oversee daily accounting operations, including Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, Payroll, and cash management

Ensure accounting processes are accurate, timely, compliant, and supported by strong internal controls

Lead the Accounts Receivable function, including invoicing, monitoring collections, managing receivable balances, processing ACH/credit card payments, and supervising team members involved in the process

Lead the Accounts Payable function, including invoice processing, managing AP aging, maintaining vendor relationships, and ensuring timely vendor payments

Partner with finance leadership on cash flow management and forecasting, with a focus on customer inflows and vendor outflows

Manage the payroll cycle for both corporate and retail employee populations

Serve as a key liaison with payroll and HR service providers to ensure compliance and resolve issues as they arise

Collaborate with operations teams to ensure alignment between inventory fulfillment and receivables processing

Support monthly, quarterly, and year-end close processes, ensuring timely completion

Prepare and review supporting schedules related to AR, AP, payroll, and cash for financial reporting

Assist with audit, tax, and external advisor requests through documentation, reconciliations, and reporting support

Support accounting-related inventory software and processes tied to receivables and wholesale operations

Identify and implement opportunities for process improvement, automation, and enhanced system usage
Qualifications

Minimum of 5 years of accounting experience, including direct responsibility for accounts receivable, accounts payable, and payroll

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Business, or a related field (or equivalent experience)

Advanced proficiency in Excel and Google Sheets, with the ability to learn new systems quickly

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a data-driven mindset

Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment

Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships across departments and levels

Experience with accounting systems such as Sage Intacct (or similar ERP platforms) preferred
