Accounting Analyst
Position Overview: Our client is seeking an Accounting Analyst to support financial reporting, analysis, budgeting, and accounting functions within a manufacturing environment. This role is responsible for analyzing financial data, identifying trends, ensuring the accuracy of financial records, and providing actionable insights to support operational and strategic decision-making. The ideal candidate combines strong accounting knowledge with analytical skills and a continuous improvement mindset.
Key Responsibilities

Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports

Perform account reconciliations and investigate discrepancies

Support month-end and year-end close processes

Analyze manufacturing costs, inventory valuations, and production variances

Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning activities

Monitor key financial and operational performance indicators

Prepare journal entries and maintain general ledger accuracy

Develop and maintain financial models, dashboards, and reporting tools

Support internal and external audits by providing documentation and analysis

Ensure compliance with GAAP and internal accounting policies

Partner with operations, purchasing, and production teams to improve financial performance and cost controls

Identify process improvements and opportunities to enhance reporting efficiency

Assist with capital expenditure analysis, special projects, and ad hoc reporting
Qualifications
-
Associate’s degree in Finance, Business Administration, or related field required; Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred

2–5 years of accounting, financial analysis, or manufacturing accounting experience preferred

Experience with ERP systems and cost accounting strongly preferred

Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting

Advanced Excel skills, including formulas, pivot tables, and data analysis

Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational abilities

Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Ability to communicate financial information to both financial and non-financial stakeholders

High attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
