Accountant
Position Summary: The Accountant is responsible for managing day-to-day accounting and financial operations, ensuring accurate financial reporting, payroll administration, and timely completion of month-end and year-end processes. This role supports business operations through accounts payable, accounts receivable, budgeting, forecasting, account reconciliations, and financial analysis. The ideal candidate is dependable, detail-oriented, deadline-driven, and thrives in a collaborative, low-drama work environment.
Key Responsibilities

Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable activities.

Process and maintain payroll, including reviewing and verifying employee hours through the company's payroll system.

Prepare and post journal entries and maintain the general ledger.

Complete monthly account reconciliations and assist with month-end and year-end closing processes.

Prepare and analyze financial statements, including profit and loss statements and balance sheets.

Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning activities.

Coordinate quarterly tax payments and maintain supporting documentation.

Monitor financial data and ensure the accuracy of accounting records.

Support cash flow management and financial reporting requirements.

Maintain compliance with company policies and accounting standards.

Assist with process improvements and other accounting-related projects as needed.

Meet established deadlines and maintain a high level of accuracy in all work.
Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field preferred.

Three or more years of accounting experience preferred.

Experience with accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, general ledger, reconciliations, and financial reporting.

Experience with budgeting, forecasting, and month-end close processes.

Proficiency with QuickBooks and Microsoft Excel.

Experience with payroll systems; experience with iSolved is a plus.

Manufacturing industry experience is helpful but not required.

Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.

Excellent attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities.
